The threat of losing our democracy is still there.

3. I MIGHT be the only person on DU that liked Quayle

No, obviously I did not like his politics- oh hell no. I never would have voted for him.

But, there was always something decent about him- the man had principals (of course, I know exactly zero about him over the past three decades).

He truly seemed like one of the last "normal" economic conservatives. I don't know- I kind of miss that breed of "Republican." At least they stood for something- these new clowns are just that- insidious halfwitted fools that just scream about everything- with no platform other than to control women and anyone of a different color.

That alone should disqualify him from being liked. He also ordered the flow of a river be reduced so he could taking his kids on a canoe trip instead of simply going to a less-vigorous river.

Any apparent "decency" or "principles" was just an act.

- Donald Trump was President and has a cult-like following, rather than being the annoying douche from The Apprentice
- Dan Quayle saved the nation
- Alex Jones is mainstream
- The owner of My Pillow is a public political figure who is taken seriously (by idiots)
- Half of the nation thinks vaccines are dangerous or are a plot by Bill Gates to implant microchips in your body

except maybe saving Mullah Pence from making a bigger fool of himself than he already was.

I doubt he cared at all about saving democracy, he simply didn't know of a way for Pence to pull the scam off.
