That does it. I occasionally watch the show, depending on who is being interviewed. After interviewing Cory Booker, Bob Woodward and Robert Costa, Chuck Todd introduces the panel and there sits Meghan McCain.
I had to turn it off.

(47,691 posts)Why on earth did they think Meghan McCain was relevant for a show like Meet the Press? Unless she is planning on running for office.

(31,537 posts)Meghan McCain's only accomplishment is being the daughter of John McCain. She really doesn't have much to contribute to a serious discussion on political issues.

(25,731 posts)She will be on TV. Doesn't matter if she's an idiot or not. Listening to idiots on TV isn't anything new. It's not contagious.

(25,731 posts)Of course I'm going to watch! The whole panel discussion was stupid, but how does anyone know how stupid it is unless they watch? Can't make fun of anyone unless you know what they say.

(10,435 posts)For example, I almost never watch a clip of MF45. I'm quite sure I haven't missed any moments of genius. I'll bet every minute was as stupid as I would expect.

(10,435 posts)That airtime could be used for a worthwhile discussion, although with Chuck Toad hosting that's probably rare anyway. Instead, it's being wasted on someone who did little on her own show but pout and whine.

(4,247 posts)to make money. Republican and conservative voices seem to offer great aid in that pursuit. Why would they care about anything else? Window dressing? Post-MF45, perhaps that's just too much trouble.

(102,468 posts)He is not only host, but the Political Director for NBC News-- so he makes those decisions and can't duck them, including the all-too-frequent decision to book only Republicans.
I haven't watched in several years, but of course, I see video clips. Todd should have gotten the boot long ago. He's not only frequently unwatchable, but apparently, a backstabber behind the scenes if the tale behind David Gregory's unceremonious "booting" from the show is any indication.
