Last year, Ute player Ty Jordan was also killed in a shooting. The university established the Ty Jordan Memorial Scholarship, and Mr. Lowe was its first recipient.

Our local news tonight showed the home where the shooting at WSU took place. I used to live in the lower half of that home as a student. It was a little shocking to see that.
