We all want to fit in, but conformity tends to be especially important among the conservative half of our nation. That's why so many want to live in towns with people "like us" and for some years have been painting their walls gray and buying brown sectionals -- because that's what they see people like them doing. It's not because of lack of imagination. Their homes must have whatever amount of comformity they require to feel right, and that feeling of rightness is reflected in their choices.

So, imagine if they saw people wearing "vaccinated" buttons, earrings, whatever. Normal most places they went and even on most people in some places.
