Lets not overcomplicate this:
Republicans passed a $2 trillion tax cut for billionaires and corporations.
And now theyre refusing to pay for it.
Its really that simple.

(9,895 posts)Why cover the GOP refusal to pay for the tax cuts that did not pay for themselves?
Why cover the incredibly flaccid punishments handed out to the Capitol rioters to date?
Why cover the memo that detailed the attempted coup d'etat by Trump and his minions?
Why cover the fact that the GOP has steadfastly REFUSED to divest from Trump or hold ANYONE accountable?
Instead, we have GOP Senators screaming "treason" at the only adult in the room, who kept a dangerous situation from becoming a catastrophe...
But hey...I'm sure there is someone coming up next on some worthless media whore talking hour that will interview someone who posted a TikTok about Brian and Gabby and how they looked "distressed" last month.
This country has gone from shit hole to flushed.
Meanwhile Chuck Todd hosts an all Republican panel.
F'ing useless pandering by Corporate Media.

(21,417 posts)So, what do we do about it? Shouldn't we be raising hell in public over this? Public demonstrations and marches to demand coverage from the media? Carry signs listing the overlap between media ownership and Republican policies and politicians.
We will not get media coverage and responses on real issues by complaining among ourselves. We need to go public, not just on social media, but in person.
Maybe combine protests about MSM with fund raising for independent media.

(53,061 posts)"Paying" for it would have meant cutting expenditures and/or raising other revenues to offset it.
They passed the cut and now refuse to approve the borrowing needed to keep the lights on because they emptied the till.

Deplorable. No wonder only US COVIDIOTS and Russian dark-ops trolls respect Republicans any more.
All honest, honorable people can smell the stupendous stank rising from the G.O.P.
