Sinema Trolls Reporter When Pressed On Progressives’ Frustration

Amid her continued reluctance to give an acceptable topline on the reconciliation bill, Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) dodged NBC News’ Frank Thorp‘s question when asked about progressives’ frustration over her refusal to offer specifics on what she would like to see in the package.

“I’m in the Senate,” Sinema told Thorp.

After Thorp pointed out that there are progressives in the Senate who are also frustrated with her because they “don’t know where you are,” Sinema once again dodged.

“I’m clearly right in front of the elevator,” Sinema told Thorp.

And THAT is one of the key people obstructing President Biden's "Build Back Better" agenda once again just trying to be a bit too "cute".

Someone here used it to describe her in the past. Manchin is obviously enjoying his time in the spotlight, making himself sound like the "reasonable, bipartisan" one. Sinema is merely trolling us.

It now seems she's a Trojan Horse planted in our party.

But, is there any way for Schumer to kick her out of the Democratic caucus?

I somewhat understand Manchin's schtick. He has to show some sort of fight to play well as a D in WV, but he at least knows when to sit down and deal.

On the other hand, I think Sinema is a sociopath, who really enjoys seeing people suffer. At this point, I'm willing to give up D control of the Senate if we have to spend another 1.5+ years of placating this obvious unstable and demented person.

We already had to deal with an unstable maniac in the White House for 4 years, please let's not do this again.

It's sure not doing any good right now. Plus, it's likely going to lead to a bloodbath next year if we constantly have to deal with the bad faith negotiations.

I'd argue that staking out and drawing a line that Democrats actually have to be Democrats would lead to a much better strategic outlook than 1 year plus of R control of the Senate.
