Even if you assume that 75% of all people who have died in TX are voters (so roughly 49,200) Celerity Sep 2021 #6

I posted a separate thread with analysis from the Texas Tribune:

The Republicans drew the map to pick up three seats from Hispanics and three seats from African Americans and incorporate them into majority white districts.

Just hear it described. Texas's 8 majority brown districts are now 5. Their 1 majority black district is now 0.

They've sliced up the suburbs to combine them with rural voters to dilute liberal districts. Probably flips 4 or 5 districts from blue to red overall.

So this could back fire in one or more districts.

and that twice as many Rethug voters died than Dem voters (so roughly 16,400 more Rethug voter deaths deaths than Dem voter deaths on net) then you are talking about only 410 less Rethug net voters per district (40 districts) atm, and that is assuming that mixed purple districts are dying at the same rate as deep red ones.

Rough calculations, with many assumptions, but you get the general drift.

Since this is being done illegally as a special session which is illegal from my understanding.
