Sen. Manchin and Sen. Sinema are grandstanding on TV almost everyday, exercising their chops and thumbing their noses at the President and their own party...
I know whose side I am on.

(1,910 posts)I guess that is as far as he believes Manchin and Sinema will go. It sucks, but passing the $1.2 along with the $1.9 can still be transformative if structured correctly.

(1,910 posts)I think it is that simple, Biden is trying to get the largest number from Manchin and Sinema. He wants the full $3.5 trillion but realizes he can not get them above $1.9-2.0 from the sound of yesterday's sound bite.
