We're going to need a republican.

I think we need to write off any chance of getting sinema to cast a vote for any Biden initiative. Just looking at any news about her activities in the last year convinces me that she has been bought - probably a board position or just high salary job with some branch of bill price's business.

I just read the piece about her ducking here constituents to wine and dine with corporate biggies. [link:https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2021/10/3/2055902/-Kyrsten-Sinema-spent-the-weekend-insulting-young-Hispanic-activists-right-to-their-faces|

It seems obvious that you can't appeal to her need to be reelected since she doesn't plan on even trying. She's had her nest pre-feathered by corporate lobbyists. I doubt there is anything that will keep her from delivering her vote for the billionaires as she hopes to be one soon.

Hence, we need a republican or two to vote with us or at least stay home on vote day.

overwhelming. It's not over yet. She's largely been hiding behind his coattails up to this.

Just saying "it's too much" doesn't cut it. Does she want to take eyeglasses and dental away from grandma, pre-K from the kiddies or maybe Pell Grants away from people who want to attend college?

But she's been pretty slippery of late, hiding out in the Senate chamber or her office until the coast is clear and then jumping into an elevator just before the doors close.

To be charitable, not grounded in reality.

Sinema is the vote to get, there are zero GOP votes available for BBB.

But today. . . a very possible reality.

Surely you are not saying that congress members never sell their vote, that they don't make deals for future rewards. sinema is just a little more crude and inept than most who try to hide it.

My worry is that unless you have a million dollar a year job to give her, she is ungetable.

Is your take that she is a principled conservative who is standing up for the ideals of American Democracy? She's the one who started out running as a Green candidate and now spends all her time with corporate lobbyists. She has no center belief system.

I agree that there is not republican who will risk the wrath of the deplorable to save the country. They are soulless husks.

I would hope to be wrong, but hope is a rare commodity right now. I don't see us getting anything like a government that works for people rather than the 1%. These bills will drag on for six months, killing everything along the way. Even if we get a third of what we wanted, it will all go away when the republicans gerrymander and vote suppress their way into power in a year. We are being misdirected from the really important bill to reestablish the Voting Rights Act.

The Hail Mary that we have is that we can turn out so many votes in the midterms, that we overcome the cheating of the republicans. And that's a 70 yard pass.

Outbid the buyer.

Put some pork in there for her Pharma Bros. They'll make her vote for it.

Gordon Gecko types. She wants in on their lifestyle. She is shallow and not bright. Maybe she could be persuaded to turn on the bankers and hedge funders. Maybe some movie stars.
