Thinking thoughts on our freedoms down here at the diner

So here we are again down here at the diner right now, thinking through the things everybody else might want to think through but isn't having time for on account of being so busy you almost don't even have time to say, Hey! Howdy! and so we are going to help you out by saying that for you

So Hey! Howdy!

The other thing we are doing to help is thinking about our freedoms. We are big on freedoms here. Very big, as they say. Very very big! And here is a for instance.

Suppose it is Friday night and the wife has gone to visit a friend and you are thinking to decide about what to do. You might decide not to put the baby in the car trunk and go to that bar thirty miles away and drink some quarts of beer and then when the bar closes drive home up the wrong side of the interstate at 80 because it is fun. Being a person of the sort who supports freedom, I am going to respect your decision not to do that because that is the sort of person I am. But because I support freedoms, I am also thinking that it is just a personal decision if you decide to put the baby in the trunk and go to that bar and drink some brewskis and then drive home up the wrong side of the interstate at 80. I guess not everyone agrees. My wife did not agree when she got home and had to go to the impound lot to get the baby and then she would not pay my bail. She did not understand it is just a matter of personal choice, which is the why now we are divorced. But it is just a matter of personal choice.

So the why I am thinking about this is that it is like if you have a deadly disease I will respect your decision not to spread it to other people, if that is your decision. But if you think it's not your problem if they all catch it from you and die, then I should also respect your decision to spread it because I am all about personal freedom. So that is what we are thinking about down here at the diner.
