which has a decided corporate lean, which may or may not align with your local chapter.

This sounds like a good thing to me, getting one less corporate voice yelling at them from within the chamber.

Biden's legislative team and Democratic House and Senate leadership are probably doing a hard court press behind the scenes to get them to do that ...

It will be interesting to see how hard the Chamber goes publicly. They are a big group with a lot of clout.

The new narrative now is repubs don't support business. (Well, not new to us...)

It will make a huge difference if they come out hard in favor of the plan and against what the Republicans are doing.

Now there is a split. Let’s see how long it lasts. My guess is about as long as the pledge not to support members of Congress who supported the insurrection.

Always has been. I used to work for a local chamber, and the national chamber is the papa bear of corporate toadies. They have done the corporate work for the Koch brothers and Heritage Foundation. They're extremists.

I don't trust them as far as I can throw them.

National chamber gets all of these assholes elected. I can't imagine a republican seriously turning against them or throwing shade of any kind. It just doesn't make sense. And I'm surprised if there are really any born-again grown ups in the house GQP caucus. I'm sure as hell hoping it is true!!!

The Chamber has dropped its support for the Infrastructure Bill in an attempt to get back in the Republican good graces.
