General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI just won my 9th award this year for my Native American Screenplay yesterday
It's based on the 1871 Camp Grant Massacre. It's the first screenplay I ever wrote back in 2007.
I have producers asking for it now.

(9,048 posts)...if Critical Race Theory were outlawed? I mean, according to these white supremacist idiots, white people have never done anything wrong.
Congrats, btw

(5,838 posts)There are cities and landmarks all over Pima, Cochise, and Graham counties with the namesakes of all of the leaders.
Wasson Peak
Samuel Hughes Building
Sam Hughes District in Tucson
Hughes Access Road
Oury Recreation Center in Downtown, Tucson
Delong Street
DeLong Peak
Safford, Arizona
Stevens Street
Just to name a few. Even Sidney DeLong's Wikipedia page doesn't mention anything about Camp Grant and he was the #1 defendant in the trial. His brother-in-law, Hiram Stevens, was neck deep in the massacre and his Wikipedia page doesn't say anything.
Hughes and Safford were only "allegedly" involved.

(2,412 posts)Wonderful that you helped bring this story out from under the rug. The Indian Massacres and the Indian Wars have been swept under the rug. They are the foundation of our violent past that is expressed in so many ways today. Until we deal with the past, we are doomed to relive it! Witness Jan. 6th and how this is playing out today. Buffalo man is a perfect example with his horns and face paint....borrowing, coopting Native American symbols to perpetuate violence in our day!
