He should come here and ask us what he needs to be doing and who he needs to charge with what. We have ideas. We'd be happy to share them with him.
I mean, he's not doing anything, so he has plenty of time to listen to us, right?
Without any possible doubt, DU will straighten him out!

(115,661 posts)than covid vaccines even if doctors and scientists say otherwise, it stands to reason that doing your own research means you know that Garland isn't doing his job correctly even if lawyers who actually do law for a living say otherwise, right?

(9,293 posts)He would learn how to effectively deal with Manchin and Sinema, become convinced beyond any reservation to not compromise one bit on the reconciliation bill under any circumstances, and be made fully aware that, as a general principle, practicing the art of the impossible is the surest way to achieve results.
Oh, and he will certainly learn, much to his surprise, I am sure, that Rand Paul is an asshole.

(21,292 posts)It isn't just people on DU who wonder when the higher ups in the coup will be held accountable?
As far as president Biden goes, I don't recall anyone here picking on our president, thank god for president Biden. I just wish that Speaker Pelosi could trade places with Chuck Schumer for 1 month. I guess it's also a joke that S1, one time the most important piece of legislation has disappeared from sight, meanwhile gerrymandering marches on, ha ha ha.
Did anyone catch what a judge did yesterday in sentencing an insurrectionist. The judge was upset that our prosecutor had not gone for a more lengthy sentence. The judge stated that he felt a stiffer sentence was required for someone who attacked our democracy. The judge stated that people involved in a coup deserve more than just being locked up at home. That came from a judge. He was bashing our DOJ prosecutors for not demanding stiffer jail time, ha ha ha.

(30,613 posts)It is unconscionable that DOJ prosecutors are letting so many terrorists walk. This needs to be their top priority; stiff sentences for the insurrectionists are necessary for the survival of the nation.
This is not a joke.

Seriously, he needs to explain to The People what the fuck his long term strategy is in regards to 1/6.
Right now it seems the DOJ is pursuing leniency to the nth degree for these insurrectionists.
WTF, Why???????

(21,292 posts)is from a handful of Democrats who don't understand that our democracy is hanging by a thread.
Texas is making a farce out of redistricting, it will pick up 6 or 7 seats by gerrymandering.
What happened to S1 being our top priority? What good does it do to pass other bills while the GQP is setting the stage for unlimited minority rule?

(15,265 posts)line seems to be that the law of the land does not apply to (particularly) republican administrations) and those in power. Rather it is typically used to shield them from their illegal deeds and malfeasance. It should come as no suprize if tRump and others face no substantial consequences for their criminal activities. The highest law of the land is on their side.

That was a few years before DU's time, or I'd suspect Ross Perot might have tried out what became his extremely famous "one-solution-for-all-problems" here and been as excitedly receive by some as he was when he ran for president as an independent reformer and Reform Party reformer.
Perot offered himself a couple decades too early -- the Republican base especially were quick to adoration but few were quite marinated enough yet for The Real Ross Perot. Who knows, in this golden age of adoration for psychopathic megalomaniacs and paranoid nutcases, he might have given tRump some real competition.

(21,292 posts)defending Trump in the defamation law suit being brought by E. Jeanne Carroll. I know, we must defend the office of the presidency when our president defames a person who accused him of rape. Correct me if I'm wrong but defaming someone regarding a rape is not a part of a president's official duties, but then again everything's a big fat joke.

You should go and snark at the federal judges who have said that the feds are going easy on the insurrectionists too, since you have appointed yourself as arbiter of what people can and can't say.

(13,565 posts)It's a kind of culture shock to come here and see some members beating up on rank and file Democrats who dare to urge prompt adjudication of unprecedented crimes of sedition and treason -- urged because justice delayed is justice denied and the clock is ticking and we have many miles to go before we can rest.
Why do some Dems want to beat up on other Dems who are asking questions and seeking progress?
