getting Covid 19 at a much lower rate than non homeless.

They also found that during the 1919 pandemic sailors housed outside in the open air had a higher recovery than those inside.

It was thought that homeless folks had better levels of Vitamin D and the air they breathed wasn't accumulating clouds of the virus.

Higher vitamin D boosts the immune system (among other things), and open air doesn't hold the virus like closed air systems in modern, energy efficient buildings (or even buildings back in the 1910s, closed up for the winters when the flu would have been rampant).
