Trump pushed so-called 'murder-suicide pact' to 'shred Constitution' in Oval Office meeting

Republicans Are Crazy!

A report from the Senate Judiciary Committee reveals new details about former president Donald Trump's efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

During an Oval Office meeting on Jan. 3, Trump pushed to install a loyalist as acting attorney general who would conduct additional investigations into his false claims of widespread election fraud, according to the New York Times.

In response, several top Department of Justice officials threatened to resign en masse if Trump went through with the plan. White House counsel Pat A. Cipollone also threatened to resign and said his top deputy, Patrick F. Philbin, would step down, too.

"Mr. Trump's proposed plan, Mr. Cipollone argued, would be a 'murder-suicide pact,' one participant recalled. Only near the end of the nearly three-hour meeting did Mr. Trump relent and agree to drop his threat," the Times reports.

I wonder how much the Republican traitors had help from their Komrade Kronies: the darkside black-ops thugs, trolls, moles, bots, bankers, and other Russian weapons targeted on taking down the USA by creating confusion and division?

I reckon that part of the Republican treason story, if so, will eventually get barfed out into public view. Let's hope it's not 60 years down the road.

Obviously quite a few US kleptocrats (libertarians and fedsoc types) are happy to watch this happen.

They should have left that meeting and went directly to the press and told everything, that's what a true patriot would have done!

My understanding is that the "murder-suicide pact" is an agreement by two or more people to commit suicide together, so how would this be used by the criminal trump?

the least.

What is going on? How can an imbecile like trump have so much power over so many people? What is going on? Does he have dirt on all these people? It is the only explanation I can come up with.

They know he will throw them under the bus at any time he is not happy with them, they know that he only wants things for him, they know they are his slaves, they also know they are his pets who he will kick around when they don't agree with him...what lack of dignity, what lack of principles from republicans, and what lack of offensive actions from Democrats.

Democrats have to fight fire with fire, these four people who have been subpoenaed MUST be put in jail if they don't comply, otherwise either make plans to leave the country to a more peaceful place, or brace yourselves because what will come will be violent, a clean up of all our rights, a totalitarian regime that will crush everyone not in power...that is of course if the military does not prevent it, but if the military joins them, this country will go to shit.

I wrote an article prior to the elections of 2016 where I warned about what would happen if trump were elected. I never sent it to any publication because as you all can tell, I am not a very good writer, but I read it once in a while to my shock that most of what I predicted happened during trump's stunt at the presidency. My predictions were based on what happened in Venezuela, how Chavez destroyed Democracy in that country, and he did it little by little. I believe republicans have learned from the Venezuelan experiment, they like the outcome, and they are following that blueprint.

Lets face it, trump is not smart enough to have done all the destruction that was done during his four years, it is those behind the curtains who set the agenda of destruction and have been working diligently on it. The same thing happens in any country that falls into a totalitarian regime, it is always the same method. That is the reason why republicans do not govern, they are working on destroying everything, blaming everyone else to take power forever.

I have seen this happen a couple of times, and when you tell people what is going on and what the results will be they always say "It Can't Happen Here", and Sinclair Lewis could not have been more right, even in 1935 he knew that IT COULD HAPPEN HERE, and if Democrats don't start fighting hard? IT WILL HAPPEN HERE.

Democrats know republicans are cowards, so bully them, make them afraid.

I mean there's plenty evidence Trump tried to get the mob to hang Pence....or kill him and get the VP out of the way.

Pence is too stupid to realize it. But attempted murder should be enough to prosecute Trump.

But no, nothing, zip, nill, nada done to prosecute the Trump criminal.

And nothing will ever be done to hold them or Trump accountable because what they did was with the blessings of the filthy rich.

Koch, Gates, Zuckerberg and the Waltons all wanted Trump to do this or something similar. They are fine with the attempted murder of the VP and the attack on Congress. If they found it offensive you can bet your bottom dollar Trump would be in jail like Donzinger.
