3. Very eye-opening talk. Truth is, however, few on the right and few on the left are willing...

...to follow his advice. Because we all believe that we are right and they are wrong.
We believe that. They believe that. Nobody is willing to suspend those beliefs long enough to find the truth together.

"And why should I look for "truth" when I already know that I am right? I already have the truth?" If that's the way you feel, then that proves his point, and no progress will ever be made. In other words: "Sorry, but you are an ignorant asshole and you don't know what you're talking about. They. Are. Wrong."
