(13,920 posts)Doccument who paid who to do what, get him out of there, appoint replacement(s) and get dejoy out.
Except I have yet to hear our president say he even wants Dejoy out, which has been a frustration of mine.
BigmanPigman
(51,590 posts)Biden saying that either.

(34,444 posts)Biden can appoint someone else. If the senate has to approve and does, Biden may then have the majority of nominees on the board.
They can replace DeJoy without cause. Biden can fire him for cause. But Biden may be figuring that he doesnt want another controversy when he can just wait a little longer and have the Board act, especially if this complaint can delay DeJoys overhaul until January.

(13,920 posts)Right now we have 3 votes out of 9. The 6 that predate Biden taking office all voted to support Dejoy and his plan. Need a minimum of 2 to change over for things to change.

(2,350 posts)but he can serve for another year or until a successor is confirmed. Biden could nominate a dem and not be over the 5 from the same party limit.

(13,920 posts)Also.. Putting an independent on there seems like a devious way to get around that limits, except that I suspect Biden is too "fair minded" to take advantage of what looks to me like a loophole.

(13,104 posts)He wants to take mail off planes and put it on trucks. Its cheaper.
They should be investigating why and how he is justifying rate increases with cheaper transportation.
Also, the conflict of interest is brazen. Its advantageous for him to slow down the Postal Svc. because hes financially invested in the competition to the USPS. That should be against the law.
Biden should initiate an executive order to stop the conflict of interest in all government agencies including the Postal Svc.
