Rick Wilson claims "As of now 1/6 commission is dead already, and will not enforce the subpoenas"

Rick Wilson
@TheRickWilson

1/ I have some bad news. After multiple calls I have some extremely grim news.

As of now 1/6 commission is dead already, and will not enforce the subpoenas.

Trump wins.

The 1/6 terror plot will go unexamined and unpunished.

To say I'm livid is putting it mildly.

Kind of like I knew US aren't going to default on the debt. I am right on both counts but I really wanted to be surprised by the first.

Lets be real here. If I am at a point where I don't believe the democrats would enforce the subpoenas, why in the world would the Trumpist follow them?

Anyone engaged in navel gazing and waiting for behind the scenes action or bipartisanship is part of the problem.

Wanna know why approval ratings are tanking among independents? Open your eyes to what apolitical people see...Democrats getting rolled, again. Republicans getting away with horrific shit and never even answering for itbat all.

We're in free fall now...a crash is inevitable when we're at the mercy of gravity.

He advocated and supported the election of Joe Biden, and has been critical of Drumpf from the very beginning.

Just because you don't like what he's saying, doesn't mean he full of shit. I'm sure he has credible sources, and given what I know about how things work, I'm not at all surprised.

I can't believe he's being criticized here for complaining about the lack of accountability.

Just because he's saying what you want to heard doesn't mean he isn't STILL full of shit--just as he as been for decades. If you want to trust him, you go right ahead. But, I'm not going to take everything he says at face value because he did something right once in his lifetime, after doing so much wrong for so long. I don't care if he supported Biden. I don't trust him.

Are you not aware this is the same piece of shit who ran Saxby Chambliss' campaign, and smeared Max Cleland, who lost three limbs in Vietnam, as being "unpatriotic," and insinuated that Cleland was cozy with Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussain? He also helped give us Bush and Cheney. Fuck him. I don't give a rat's ass that he's "PISSED." He should've thought about that in all the years when he was helping foment the conditions that got us where we are now.

But I'm betting that he's wrong. The Dems can't walk away from this with an egg farm of produce on their collective faces. They must produce. They have no choice.

And it should have been apparent to them at the very outset of the Committee's work that this moment would come. It's Trump's logic. And they've known Trump's logic for over five years. Enforcing subpoenas was ALWAYS FRONT AND CENTER.

Now is crunch time.

Rick Wilson helped get us into the situation that allowed people like Trump to attain their offices, in large part by lying or otherwise bending the truth. It's mind-boggling that so many people here automatically believe everything he says, without him providing anything to back up his assertions.

https://january6th.house.gov/news/press-releases/thompson-cheney-statement-subpoena-deadline

Oct 8, 2021
Bolton, MS & Wilson, WY—Chairman Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) and Vice Chair Liz Cheney (R-WY) today made the following statement regarding the deadline for witnesses under subpoena to produce materials to the Select Committee:

“While Mr. Meadows and Mr. Patel are, so far, engaging with the Select Committee, Mr. Bannon has indicated that he will try to hide behind vague references to privileges of the former President. The Select Committee fully expects all of these witnesses to comply with our demands for both documents and deposition testimony.

“Though the Select Committee welcomes good-faith engagement with witnesses seeking to cooperate with our investigation, we will not allow any witness to defy a lawful subpoena or attempt to run out the clock, and we will swiftly consider advancing a criminal contempt of Congress referral.

“We thank those many patriotic Americans who are coming forward voluntarily to participate in our inquiry. The Committee is making rapid progress and will not be deterred by those who seek to obstruct our efforts.”
