The woman in the purple sweater at the doctors office and the doctor telling her he has to check with Washington before he can do some sort of treatment. Ad ends with woman angry on the phone supposedly telling Joe Biden Stop messing with my Medicare!
What is this all about?

(31,966 posts)Its absurd. And that womans speech at the end Stop messing with my Medicare! hints that Biden is up to no good and of course the right wing whackos will eat that up even if they dont know what shes talking about.

(64,990 posts)Besides we don't have advantage plans. We have PPO supplementals. No network, same copays for Rx, slightly higher max out of pocket, and about $12 a month higher premium. But, the no networks thing was big to us.

(57,073 posts)Just didn't have a good feeling about the Advantage plans.
ProfessorGAC
(64,990 posts)...the premium goes up to the same as the supplemental plan.
So, at their point there's no advantage to the advantage plan!
I forgot about that yesterday. Popped into my head earlier today.

(34,135 posts)Quite a few old TV series that I like are on Roku or Tubi for free but those are supported by ads. I get Sling mostly for MSNBC and CNN news, plus my husband watches a lot of the channels that would normally be on cable, all of those have ads.
So even if someone cuts the cable, they will still get ads. It's only on streaming channels such as Netflix which are fully supported by viewer subscriptions that you can completely avoid ads.
Cable is not the enemy, corporate media is.
