(522 posts)Trump will never be prosecuted for anything.
I worked for him as a contractor in NY, I know several other contractors that also worked for him.
He has one deep network that includes organized crime.
My dad also knows him and Rudolph Giuliani, in fact my dad was the head of HR at White and Case and personally fired Giuliani.
Trump's connections run extremely deep, he basically is an "untouchable".

The tendrils of sex trafficking run all through the echelons of power.

I guess now we know some of what is going on behind the scenes at the DOJ.

(65,040 posts)I'm one of those that think the impatience is misplaced & that hand wringing over the pace is unproductive.
But, I don't think, nor have I seen anyone else promote the notion we have no right to know what's going on.
Specific details of the investigation, I get being confidential. But, things like roadblocks being erected from within? Yes, we get to, indeed must, know about it.
I don't recall any of these related discussions ever having people saying we don't get to know.

Also the link? It quotes Politico over and over again, recently sold and Libertarian leaning. They have always posted "Democrats in Dissaray".

Im reminded of Rick Wilson the other day. Guess he wanted to be the first to tweet the 1/6 commission was dead and nothing being done about the subpoenas. Nothing could be further from the truth.

(7,263 posts)This has nothing to do with AG Garland, and everything to do with TFG Plants left behind.
TFG left a ginormous stinky turd behind when he fled to Mara-La-Go that President Joe and his cabinet have to deal with.
It is going to take years to clean house.

(16,903 posts)That's not exactly what he, or DOJ, is doing. It says he 'paved the way for congressional testimony' but limited the scope of the panel's inquiry. Then lawyers for both sides could argue for or against pursuing that avenue. That's what lawyers do.
You need to be careful to get the whole picture out there..............
