Protesters Plan on 'Birddogging' Kyrsten Sinema as She Runs Boston Marathon

Activists plan to confront Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) while she is running the Boston Marathon, according to a report from the Boston Globe.

The Green New Deal Network, a coalition of national organizations, said in a statement on Saturday that activists from Arizona and Massachusetts plan on “birddogging” Sinema as she runs, over her refusal to back Democrats’ $3.5 trillion Build Back Better Act.

The protesters will be holding signs that read “Senator Sinema: Pass the Full Deal,” “Senator Sinema: Stop Running. Start Listening,” and “Senator Sinema: Stop Running From Us,” according to the Globe.

Sinema, an avid runner, has completed Ironman triathlons and multiple marathons, including the Boston Marathon.

Plus it’s bound to get in the way of other participants. Let he have her run.

Living in this country is hard enough without her. Plus she is bound to get in the way of other citizens. Let us have our full deal.

My first marathon was aided by prednisone- my knee was killing me but I’d put in too much time to not run. I did a marathon with a stress fracture in my ankle (I like to say a broken leg) that I didn’t know about until afterwards. It hurt but I was going to make the run....oh and I blistered up on both feet. Brutal day. I’ve seen two guys bleed through their shirt because they didn’t protect their nipples. You get to a point that nothing is going to stop you.

She must be pretty fast to get into Boston. It’s a very restricted field. Some celebrities have basically paid their way in via charity donations but it sounds like she really ran her way in.

People running into the course just isn’t a good idea. That’s my main point.

Nothing defeats a good argument as much as self-elected mediocrities doing the talking for it.

Teaching a class at ASU, training and running a marathon out-of-state.

I thought Senator was a full-time job.

I would have preferred she run her marathon and nobody even noticed who she was, or that a sitting senator was there. The best scenario would have been having her cross the finish line and see a crowd of people rush toward someone she didn't know, applauding and asking for autographs. When Senator "Cinema" asks who the celebrity is, she should be told it was a volunteer at a local clinic who gave 80 hours a week helping take care of Covid patients.

Maybe something like THAT might give her an idea of what a celebrity really is.
