Cheney blasts Scalise for refusing to say Biden legitimately won election
By Joseph Choi - 10/10/21 10:59 AM EDT

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) blasted House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) after he refused to say if he believed the 2020 presidential election was "stolen" from former President Trump.

Earlier on Sunday, Scalise was pressed by "Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace on whether he believed the 2020 election had legitimately been won by President Biden. Scalise refused to directly answer the question, repeatedly pointing to constitutional rules and states' laws on elections.

"Millions of Americans have been sold a fraud that the election was stolen. Republicans have a duty to tell the American people that this is not true. Perpetuating the Big Lie is an attack on the core of our constitutional republic," Cheney tweeted.

She is putting Congressional Trumpers on notice for supporting a seditious asshole. Their blind loyalty to Him is noted. They are Anti-American, Anti-Democracy, and Anti-US Constitution.

Democrats running for office are being boosted by Liz Cheney with what to run on. Carpe Diem, Democrats.

The Republican Party is sliding into fascism because too few of their elected "leaders" are willing to oppose the orthodoxy of lies and Trumpism which have enthralled their voting base.

The essence of leadership is doing what is necessary for the good of our country and their constituents, not groveling before an egomaniacal con man who will bring us all to ruin.

This is exactly how we got a Democratic governor. Republicans put up multiple candidates all vying for the top crazy slot and in the general, the R candidate looked so crazy that even here John Bel Edwards won. Happened twice now for JBE. And in the Senate, both Kennedy and Scalise seem to be in danger of having the same thing happen to them, which is why they are both groveling for the crazy vote to shore up their position in the primary.

GQP has become a caricature of themselves ... lying, cheating, entitled and privileged thieves who think they can get away with anything. I am sure Rep. Cheney doesn't believe that side of her party.

Kinzinger's been quiet.

So that any effort to prove the 2016 election was stolen could be countered by the untruth "this is the Dems trying to distract your attention from the Great Steal of 2020".

The general public has been inundated for decades with propaganda from the vast network of right wing radio stations and FOX News. The Walking Dumb are now fully indoctrinated in the lies and will believe whatever they're told. Trump told them the election was stolen; they believe the election was stolen. Scalise isn't preaching to Trump, he's preaching to the Walking Dumb. He's got their vote as long as he perpetuates the lies; he is subject to primary and bad press within their Nutty Network if he doesn't.

Plus, he's a Class A scum.
