Im pretty sure Manchin and Sinema are not going to support any compromise. Manchin might yield for a modest package. Sinema, I seriously doubt.
So then what? Another deadline? I doubt that too.
Most likely course is the bipartisan bill passes once progressives get confirmation that the deal aint happening. Then the debt ceiling is raised through reconciliation.
Wondering what others here think

(23,018 posts)That I always do to hope (and work) for the best, but always prepare for the worst. The sooner we know Manchin and Sinema arent going to play ball, the better off well be. The longer this is drawn out, the bigger and more memorable the failure will be.

(13,964 posts)that some version of the social infrastructure bill will pass. It definitely wont be for 3.5 trillion but I do believe something will come to Bidens desk.

(23,018 posts)Just said Dems are divided on how to pare the bill down to 2 Trillion which is the suggested new top line number. He said there is no commitment from the two Senators in the Senate.
