It was known almost immediately that he was one of the white guys who were setting fires and smashing things, not protesters associated with BLM.

They thought maybe he was umbrella man.

Woman was harassed on June 27th, (weeks after George Floyd) so it's entirely possible that this is not the same guy. Many of the provocateurs were from out of state and had moved to other sites by the June 27th.

My hunch is the guy they issued the search warrant on was probably an associate and/or look-alike of Umbrella Man..Maybe the evidence (phone records) showed that the guy they did the search warrant on was in another location? Maybe Umbrella Man was in another white nationalist group?

That is where they got the tip and he was being looked into as umbrella man. Since many of the provocateurs were from out of state, I would not be surprised if umbrella man had moved on by June 27th.

The Aryan Cowboy guy appears to be from Minnesota.

Investigators finally caught a break when a tipster e-mailed the MPD identifying him as a member of the Hells Angels biker gang who "wanted to sow discord and racial unrest by breaking out the windows and writing what he did on the double red doors," she wrote.

Police have also connected the 32-year-old man to a widely publicized incident in Stillwater late last month, in which a Muslim woman was confronted by men wearing white supremacist garb.

A subsequent investigation revealed the man was also an associate of the Aryan Cowboy Brotherhood, a small white supremacist prison and street gang based primarily in Minnesota and Kentucky. Several of its members were also present at the Stillwater incident.

I remember teaching the civil rights movement. All the violence against black protestors was scrubbed, but if one black protestor fought back against the violence against them, it would be national news in a New York minute.
