Abbott thinks he has the authority to tell private businesses they can't require vaccines.

Greg Abbott just claimed he’s banning vaccine requirements from “any entity” in Texas.

He thinks he has the authority to tell private businesses they can’t require vaccines. Absurd.

if and until someone takes it to court. And if it ends up in the Federal Circuit Court (the 5th in Texas, I think) he will definitely get away with it.

C'mon Texas! Get rid of this guy!

It’s a power grab that he knows is going to court.
Basically he will force the courts to determine if his executive order or President Biden’s Executive Order, takes precedence. Or maybe that neither of them do, and that private business can decide for themselves.
I doubt he has any expectation that this will be upheld in the short term.

who can ignore state executive orders prohibiting vaccine mandates? What if they also say they're going to "stand their ground" and shoot any unvaccinated person who tries to enter their private business, on the grounds that the unvaccinated person is threatening their lives?

Would this just blow the RWers minds, or what?
