Synthetic Media: How deepfakes could soon change our world
Synthetic media, better known as deepfakes, could be a goldmine for filmmakers. But the technology has already terrorized women who have had their faces inserted into pornography. And it could potentially disrupt society.

It's hard to tell which one is real and which is fake. It helps to know how the actress is.

Just for fun, here is me:
I'm 65 and have grayish light brown hair, blue eyes and fair skin.

Just now, I tired to create some unflattering ones of Joe Biden, but he's hard to do unflattering. Plus the app has tons of ads. After I created one of Biden as Jack Sparrow, the file was too large to transfer, so it sits in my phone tonight. The Jack Sparrowof my husband, above used a smaller gif file. I created it a year ago. I can't find the small Jack Sparrow on reface right now.

(24,549 posts)4. It took some effort, but I've got Joe Biden/Jack Sparrow
This is low resolution. I could have uploaded to YouTube for higher res. Imagine what someone with some money could do. These is a freebie phone app with lots of ads.

Making it clear will be in 5-point font size while the image counteracts that disclaimer with an image/video that fills the entire frame.
That used to be called fine print in the print era and nobody reads it. Thats why its thereto put the details they dont want consumers to read.
Especially the less curious ones.
