Right-wing fumes over NFL coach Jon Gruden's resignation for racist, homophobic emails

Folks are rightfully mocking right wingers for the utterly false claim that "everyone" makes incredibly racist jokes in their private emails. (No, we do not.)
But this whole thing also highlights another fallacy that fascinates me.....

Right-wing fumes over NFL coach Jon Gruden's resignation for racist, homophobic emails
The NFL has become an increasingly popular battleground on which the right can wage its never-ending culture war

Right-wingers are rushing to defend Raiders head coach John Gruden following his resignation amid a series of reports that Gruden spoke in racist, sexist, and homophobic terms spanning roughly a decade.

Jesse Kelly, conservative talk radio host of "The Jesse Kelly Show," suggested that the push for Gruden's dismissal was led by "a bunch of lying, whiny pretenders in this country."

"That's the funniest/saddest thing about that whole business," Kelly tweeted. "60% of America and 99% of the NFL not only think like Gruden does, they've all sent emails/texts like that."

"Let's see the emails & texts of [NFL Commissioner Roger] Goodell & every NFL owner/exec," echoed Donald Trump Jr. "We must find out if they've ever said anything wrong, shared a controversial thought, or held an opinion that wasn't PC. No statute of limitations. We can't allow them to hide behind their white privilege."

And is most likely a fellow right-winger.

Obviously there could be others he talked this way with, seems likely.

Mostly it was discovered during an NFL investigation into Dan Snyder, owner of Washington, back in 2011 it seems.

So the NFL has known about this for quite some time.

Washington Football Team in general (esp. owner Snyder) got investigated for other stuff shady, and investigators found these emails. They are mostly from 2011.

Gruden wasn't an NFL employee at the time, and Allen and he go way back (Allen was Raiders president when Gruden coached there around 2000).

Imagine you're saying this to your buddy, the President of the Red****s at his team's email server, as a non-NFL employee. You probably thinking you're alright in terms of not getting exposed.

If employers could sift through every personal email of every employee, would there be any employees left?

Gruden was talking racist trash while making tons of money off a largely black work force (his players and/or the people whose in-game performances made his lucrative TV job possible) and used homophobic language to mock attempts to protect their health. An evil asshole in the extreme, not that they’d even begin to recognize it.

Hasn't everyone sent unmarked envelopes containing white powder to government officials?

Hasn't everyone left armed pipe bombs outside businesses they hate?

Hasn't everyone snorted Idaho's annual GDP worth of coke backstage before political speeches?

Just wondering. Maybe it's just me.
