Reince Priebus Claims Democrats 'Think Cows Are the Enemy of the American People'

Former Trump chief-of-staff Reince Priebus joined Sean Hannity Tuesday night to deliver a harangue about cows, Saul Alinsky, and what Democrats have in store for the country.

The Fox News host rattled off a potpourri of grievances with the Biden administration regarding Covid, China, inflation, and energy.

Priebus responded by suggesting the Democrats were attempting to sabotage the country, allegedly in accordance with the vision of long-dead leftist radical Alinsky.

“Democrats want to create a socialist and welfare state,” said Priebus. “Biden and the Democrats actually probably don’t think that they’re making mistakes is much as we think. On the border, they want the United States to be the home of any person that wants to come here. On gas prices, they don’t want us driving cars and guzzling gas. On beef, they think cows of the enemy of the American people. They think they’re bad for the environment.”

Can't say I ever heard of Saul Alinsky before Glenn Beck started talking about him.

My dear Fox-watching 96-year-old-dad tells me all the time that democrats want to do away with hamburgers.

Their followers grab onto these types of issues and it works for them.

We need to have a way to fight this crap.

I don't speak for the Democratic Party.

Factory farm meat and dairy products are bad for the environment, bad for the underpaid and abused laborers, bad for the cows, and bad for the human spirit.

I'm not any kind of vegan radical. But I don't think the cheapest possible meat and dairy products are any kind of human right. If meat and dairy products cost a little more because they come from humanely treated cows and laborers who don't toil in dangerous and abusive workplaces, that's a good thing.

The world isn't going to end when the least expensive burger at McDonald's has a patty made from plant protein and most of the customers prefer that.

From Wiki bio "helping poor communities organize to press demands upon landlords, politicians and business leaders won him national recognition and notoriety. Responding to the impatience of a New Left generation of activists in the 1960s, in his widely cited Rules for Radicals: A Pragmatic Primer (1971) Alinsky defended the arts both of confrontation and of compromise involved in community organizing as keys to the struggle for social justice."

what's not to love?

southwest New Mexico, the cows spend most of their life on vast ranches with plenty of room. They are sent to a holding place near the end though. I recognize that most cows aren’t so lucky.

I've got extended family who are ranchers and dairy people who have thus far managed to avoid the factory farm horror show.

My grandparents, and later my parents, didn't want to be ranchers or dairy people. My grandparents ran away from their homes.

When I was a teen my parents did try to be farmers for a few years. Our family ate quite a few animals I'd taken care of.

Eventually my parents decided they'd rather be ordinary artists than artisan farmers.

Small boutique farming is certainly an art but it wasn't for them.
