The kids are alright with masks

Purely anecdotal, but driving past the local high school letting out, all the kids had masks on. At all the bus stops where crowds of kids were waiting, all had masks on. I went a small park near by and there were a few high school kids there hanging out with friends and I was surprised to see they all had masks on.

Reminded me of when I was in school. Everybody just as happy to get off the bus, doesn’t matter that they’re wearing masks they don’t seem to care. We had to wear skirts to class every day. We survived

2. What surprised me most was

the kids were at city bus stops and a public park with no mask mandates at all, they could have taken them off. It was their personal choice.

3. Weird to see a family group where the kids are masked and the adults are not.

Or the kids are properly masked and the adults have their noses exposed.

4. My six year old granddaughter is voluntarily double masking on the bus.

There are only four kids on her bus.

Kids are smart.

7. I substituted taught a 4/5 class Tuesday and I was 10 feet away from my students and pulled

Down my mask to read a book. A student asked me to pull back up my mask. I did out of respect.
