Like a fire hose in the face

I have to ask, what the fuck is happening? I remember the 70s and 80s and 90s and 2000s...obviously had its ups and downs but it seems like I went to sleep in late 2015 and woke up in this living hell that is nothing like I or anyone would have truly expected. Many predicted bad but few would have thought it could be "end of the world" bad.
I want to draw hope from Democrats efforts but its bogged down hard and seems permanently stuck. Unless we win a 60+ Senate majority in 2022 I don't see any way forward. The Senate is irrevocably intractable. Like truly ineffective and unable to pass anything truly meaningful for the foreseeable future.

I could go on but won't. Sorry for being a downer but I desperately need to get this off my chest.

Its just batshit crazy all the time. Its literally on "11" all the time. Honestly just over it.

Captain Cody, George Frayne, just died a couple weeks ago. Love that song though. Thank you for the memories 😊

PA Pat Toomey, N.C Richard Burr, OH Rob Portman and MO Roy Blunt have decided to retire and not rerun. I don't live in any of these states so I haven't looked to see who the Democratic challengers are yet.

WI Ron Johnson has a 35% favorably, with a 42% unfavorably. There are at least 12 Democrats running for this seat for 2022.

FL Marco Rubio is up for re-election. Val Demings is running against Rubio and has a strong fundraising campaign. Here are ways that we can help Val Demings.

and here to donate to her campaign.

If one has any disposable income, one can still help out-of-state Democratic challengers. If one doesn't have disposable income, contact any of the Democratic campaigns and see if they accept out-of-state help like writing postcards or phone banking. I'm fairly positive that they will happily accept any type of help.

Stacy Abrams has an organization called Fair Fight. One can always donate to help this worthwhile organization.

I understand your frustration. It sucks that we have to work this hard to protect our delicate democracy, but we can do this

I appreciate it. Still trying to stay positive but its very hard.
Trump and his sycophantic followers seem all but immune to any consequences for their actions. Its frustrating.

Seriously?

SMDH.

The world is not ending because the US is having a political feud. I mean it might end due to global warming at some point.

But get a grip. Nothing is over until we say it is over.

The russians haven’t even bombed pearl harbor.

overwhelm the system with disinformation so the media spends all its time fact checking and no time to do real investigation and reporting. Keep the disinfo coming so there is never a chance to catch up.

Or, as they used to say: If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit.
