Somehow I ended up on his mailing list. I just received an email diatribe where he basically attacked biden for being too old, that he shouldn't run in 24, that harris was "just like clinton" and would lose to trump or any other q candidate, and a lot of other bs about the woeful state of our potential 24 lineup.
This does absolutely nothing useful. It undermines biden and cripples harris. Why would anyone but a republican send this out?
That was no friend of the dems email.

(11,736 posts)He has a following of people that think he is awesome, and he believes the hype but it doesn't bear out in reality. He is a relatively marginal character, but is begin amplified because it creates drama in the media.

(8,201 posts)Like Trump, he appeals to people who are dissatisfied with government and think that both parties are equally nonresponsive or corrupt.
I don't think he is evil the way Trump is, and I'm sure he despises Trump and the threat he poses to our democracy. Yet regardless of his intent, by attacking Democratic leaders in order to pave the way for a third-party run, he is going to siphon voters away from Democrats in what will be a perilously close election.

(10,136 posts)He reminds me of Ross Perot: couldn't get a nomination from the major parties so he took his money and founded his own. He did spoil Bush the Elder's re-election chances so I suppose there's that.
