(96,882 posts)Based on related posts I tend to believe he said something inspiring today about the Jan 6 Committee effort. Which would be nice but still not a reason to make him Speaker.
Alternatively it could also be this tweet. Which also not a reason to become Speaker.

FWIW, I think theres going to be a lot of pressure for a non-White Speaker. And Hakeem Jeffries continues to be mentioned.

(38,113 posts)Hakeem Jeffries. He has that mean gleam in his eye that Pelosi, John Lewis, Clinton (HRC) - can get - and they do it with a pleasant expression and calm demeanor.
I think he might have A mean streak - and I like that. I want McCarthy and Company humiliated.

(18,272 posts)I don't know. I think Pelosi is such a good speaker because she knows the ins and outs of the House and knows how to keep her caucus together. Whoever is the next speaker will need that skill set.

(298,026 posts)And yes, replacing Pelosi will be no easy task - what are the skill sets?

(18,272 posts)I don't know that Schiff wouldn't be a great Speaker of the House. I just trust that the people in charge, including Pelosi, will pick someone to adequately fill her shoes.
