McCain got his reputation as a "Maverick" by occasionally defying his party to do the right thing for his country.
Sinema is trying to get the same reputation by defying her party to do the wrong thing for her country.
It's not working out.

(14,046 posts)BY a huge margin, the worst Democrat is superior to the best Republican. She is the difference between McConnell being Senate Majority Leader.
The problem, in addition to the legislation and reform she is blocking, is that her approach almost guarantees that she WILL be REPLACED with a Republican. The GOP knows this too - if she keeps this up, she will not hold the seat.
Given the choice between a Republican and someone who acts like a Republican, people will vote for the real Republican all the time.
