Madison Cawthorn Vows to Prosecute Fauci, Seize Chinese Assets in U.S. if GOP Returns to Power

GOP Congressman Madison Cawthorn of North Carolina pledged that if Republicans retake control of Congress, he would ensure that Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, is legally charged.

While speaking in Rutherford County, outside of Asheville, Cawthorn, accused Fauci of lying to Senator Rand Paul during a Senate hearing.

"It's a crime to lie to Congress," he said. "When we take the majority back, I will make sure that man is charged."

Cawthorn has long been critical of Fauci throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, previously accusing him of lying about the origins of the virus.
