To avoid election night meltdowns this year- everyone should know in advance Fairfax has changed its posting system and will be reporting late. Youngkin will be ahead obviously until that happens.

One of the keys is Chesterfield vs. Henrico. Henrico flipped blue in 2008 and hasn’t gone back. Chesterfield isn’t as red as it used to be but it’s still supposed to soak up some of the Henrico vote. In 2012 Allen saw the numbers from Chesterfield and knew it wasn’t enough of a margin so he conceded in typical a hole fashion. Kaine accepted when Henrico reported.

The key of course will be turnout in an off off year election.
