What's up NY State? Can't find anything on Bannon investigation for stealing money from wall-a-thon
Yes, he was arrested. Yes federal charges. Supposedly defrauded fund out of a $1 million. Yes Dingbat pardoned him. Yes charges dropped.
But NY State is supposed to have opened an investigation. This seems so much worse than not following a subpoena. And someone dug this tape up of him saying they got a million. Although he could say he was just joking. Link to tweet ?t=eWykgKUV47ST9MCGHuRORg&s=19

1. If they open an investigation, they usually don't say anything...
until they close it.

4. Feds had enough of a case to arrest him. I don't know how that works
Can they just deliver all that to the state? Or do they have to start from scratch? They supposedly opened it in March.

9. I'm not sure of the technicalities, either, but if the feds had to drop the case because of ...
the pardon, the state still has to take its own time because the state criminal statutes and evidence have to all line up.
It's complicated, but so it all goes... |

5. IIRC double-jeopardy would apply per NY state law at time crimes were committed
don't quote me on that but that's my hazy recollection.

7. I may be confusing Bannon w/Manafort here ... hard to keep track of all the criminals
in Trump's orbit sometimes.

8. Yes double jeopardy was on manafort. Just found that but can't read the article
because of paywall. Surely if that was the same case with Bannon they would have realized that by now?
