10. It's to differentiate between it's primary product and the company itself

We used to drive Chevrolet's made by Chevrolet and Fords made by Ford.

They did the same thing, except they change the product name.

Google did the same except they changed the company name to "alphabet".

This is just standard market BS as a company matures.
