“The Arizona Democrat has told lobbyists that she is opposed to any increase in those rates, but her stance is now pushing Democrats to more seriously plan for a bill that doesn’t include those major revenue increases.”

however many people it needs to go after people and corporations that are using loopholes to avoid taxes --- get the $$ from them now and put people and corporations on the defensive against a strong IRS offense?? People and corps can sue but if they know that their cheating will see the light of day how many will be willing to suffer with the bad PR?
