Is Machin angling for a Presidential run? Would you support him if he won the nomination?
Starting to wonder about this guy.

And he voted to remove Trump twice. In truth, he could not win the nomination of either party.

If it’s him v any Republican in the general, I’d hold my nose and vote for him, but I don’t think he has enough support among Dems to get the nomination

He has to show performative defiance against those who oppose corporate and business greed and interests.

9. The only thing Manchin is angling for is to keep the large pile of cash from his big coal
investments growing bigger and bigger and bigger. It's a shame West Virginia isn't covered in solar panels instead of nasty coal mines. Manchin would be all in then if he could bring in the odd million or so a year from it.

a snowball's chance in Hell of even getting the nomination, and anyhow he has a lot more power as a single senator who can torpedo the entire party if they don't kiss his ass.

13. Manchin will never be anything more than Senator from W. Virginia.
If he is looking to run as a Democrat for the Presidency, I can with 99% certainty, say that it will never happen. He will not win against any halfway moderate Democrat. If he is thinking of switching parties and running as a Republican, there are much crazier candidates in that party and that seems to be what the GOP is looking for.
He is angling to keep the coal business that pays him half a million a year and the other companies that pay his campaign coffers the money he needs to stay Senator of WV, alive and well. |

15. Manchin is not a serious presidential candidate
His stubborn obstruction to right the ship is putting the nation at risk along with Sinema, they are handing control of the political agenda to the rethuglicants who clearly choose dictatorship over real governance. Manchin is for special interests and not for the majority of Americans. I will not support any run for President by Manchin. He is showing where his loyalties really reside.

Repukes want a candidate who's not afraid of the Republican moniker, and Democrats want a real Democrat. West Virginia ranks at the bottom of so many lists in this country; I'm sure 'ability to influence a national election' is probably one of them.
