I'm amazed that this people around here want to think the world is full of puppy dogs and rainbows. Amazing that people around here are so damned sensitive that they would hide the post I copied/pasted below. Actually, the poster brings up a valid point. And as I said in my reply to this post, 1) Republicans are trying very hard to steal this election and 2) Never underestimate the stupidity of the American voting public. Both happened in 2004 and it could damned well happen again!! If people here want to stick their heads up their asses, well go ahead. But don't think that the unthinkable couldn't happen. I expect this post to be hidden as well by those same people that don't want to hear this, but I'm going to paste it below anyway. And for the record, I'm not a troll. I've been a member here since 2006. Flame away and hide this if you can't stand the unpleasantness of this possibility, but quit thinking Obama is a shoo-in. It scares the shit out of me, but this scenario could happen. Again, 2004 anyone? Below is the post in by DavidL in its entirety. Why are people afraid to face up to the possibility that by hook or by crook, Obama may just lose this thing. I am really thinking that Republicans are trying their hardest to steal this thing and with the weak kneed wimpy Mainstream Media not doing their job, they just may get away with it. Anyone here old enough to remember Watergate? I do. Back then, we had a media that did its job as a watchdog. If Watergate happened today, it wouldn't even make the evening news on any of the major networks. That's how far things have gotten.

Maybe that'll soothe the sensitive among us. I just thought having your head up your "ass" sounded more effective. Seriously though, anyone who doesn't think that this thing can't be stolen outright and nothing will end up being done about it and/or underestimates the stupidity of the voting public has a short memory indeed. If this fuckwad wins, we'll be the laughingstock of the world. And then the world may fear and loathe us. You can kiss representative democracy good bye. The middle class will disappear and we'll become a nation of have and have nots. Corporations will be well represented in Congress and our voices will be drowned out. With corporations calling the shots in tandem with government, fascism will come to rule the land. All you pollyannas who don't think this could happen, it could. It is not YOUR forum and people are going to disagree with you no matter what you post. Lighten up and stop thinking that your opinion is the only way or start your own forum where everybody sees thing your way or else. Rim Job tried that. It's not working out very well.

EXACTLY!! It is not my forum!! Which is why I want people to disagree. But to block and hide a post they find unsettling because they may not like to think about the possibility it entails? You can shoot the messenger, but it does not change the message one iota. My opinion is just one of many and no one has to see things my way, or else. Quite the opposite, the post was blocked and hidden PRECISELY because some people did not want to see things David L's way.
