As the strategy his memo laid out was set in motion, and an angry, violent mob gathered that morning to storm the Capitol, how horrified was John Eastman? Was he running around, hair on fire, trying to stop this internal discussion from becoming reality? Or was he on the podium, addressing the mob and encouraging them to carry out the insurrection in accordance with his blueprint?

Now, months later, after his "preliminary" memo has failed and the folks who defended the Constitution and the country that day begin their reckoning, Eastman would like everyone to know that he never in a million years dreamed that things would come out the way they did.

Lawyers are creatures of habit, and one habit is to account for "billable hours." Lawyers live for billable hours, to wit:

Even if Eastman ultimately donated his time, his records would show what work was done, who the client was, what the fee was and how much of that fee was discounted or waived.

Relative to the 1/6 investigation, somewhere in Eastman's records is documentation of who he was working for when he drafted the infamous memo. Documents don't just appear out of thin air. There is a backstory, there is a written history, the are previous drafts, there is incontrovertible evidence that can be subpoenaed.

the net was cast far and wide to find ALL conspirators involved in Pres. Lincoln's murder. Remember Dr. Mudd, who was sentenced to life in prison, because he set Booth's broken leg. He had any number of sideline conversations with WH staff and others involved prior to this document.
