Anyone else notice more produce from Canada in their super markets?

Nice, fresh too. Mexico, Canada, and Israel is what I see mostly at Whole Foods except for several fruits from Cali.

Does the US produce anything these days? I guess those socialistic US farmers stop working because they get too much subsidy from the Federal government? Hmmm... the really big welfare state.

My own garden (outdoor and indoor) - but I also have access to local farms, local growers - especially via a local store that puts Whole Foods and Trader Joe's to shame.

Because of where I live and proximity to local farmers and greenhouse grown year round - I'm see very little of it.

Example - recall of onions -

Haven't purchased in a few years. Easy to grow outside and inside in my grow tower.

That may be one reason. Canada just has so much land and not many people.
So more room for mechanized farms.
