So theres this prominent actor who has voiced his political beliefs for years and has actively campaigned and professionally mocked a candidate for a high office. He has been very successful in these ventures.
Unbeknownst to him, an individual who has access to the prop department working on a film and whose politics are contrary to those of the star substitutes a real, working weapon for the make-believe and the star unwittingly kills and injured members of the film crew. He is forever tainted by this event and becomes a figure of both pity and scorn, depending upon the politics of the individual audience member. Many years later he becomes the answer to a trivia question along with a very few others.
Such is the nature of fiction when dealing with awful facts.

"Law & Order : SVU" just did an episode that was clearly based on the Matt Gaetz allegations.

I am sure the police is going to investigate what if any responsibility he had in leaving a hot gun in a bin ready for use with supposedly cold guns.

(34,136 posts)To Baldwin. I suspect normally the prop master would have done that - and would have checked to make certain that it was a cold gun.
The entire thing is tragic and I hope there are answers to all the questions.
