Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) shared a threatening voicemail he received from a viewer of Tucker Carlsons Fox News show in which the caller spewed racist, homophobic and sexist epithets and talked about the lawmaker and his family being chopped up and fed to dogs.
It was the Tucker Carlson effect, Swalwell wrote on Twitter.
Tucker attacks me. His fans respond with threats to kill my family. And Tucker knows exactly what hes doing, he said.

Speaking Friday to MSNBCs Nicolle Wallace, Swalwell said this particular threat out of the hundreds he receives was different because the caller at the start of the message identified that he had just watched Carlsons show.

(20,723 posts)That was a really long message.
What would an ethical broadcasting company do if they found out that one of their shows was encouraging this kind of harassment and threats?
Where are the leverage points to encourage and persuade Fox News and Tucker Carlson to change their approach? They cant be allowed to lie and generate threats like the freaking Hutus.

(35,000 posts)Especially given the part about chopping up his family. Hopefully, they can track down this stinking, oozing vat of human waste and treat him accordingly. I saw the post about Riker's Island, and even that's too good for this spewing sack of feces.

"I hope" RWNJ media becomes totally unacceptable as a thing, soon!
