Interesting experiment. So FB did (supposedly) finally ban QAnon content. But their essential business model remains unchanged: Eyeballs = dollars, and whatever attracts eyeballs is good.

A recent episode of Kara Swisher’s podcast Sway features her interview with long-time tech journalist Walt Mossberg. They talk, among other things, about their interactions with Mark Zuckerberg. Swisher says Zuckerberg won’t talk to her anymore, but her observation from interviews a few years back is that the guy truly has no empathy or conscience when it comes to his project’s effects on people.

All I get are favorite writers, dog videos, silly literary puns, old comic strips, and a whole lot of ads for clothes and shoes. 🤷🏼?♀️

When I fill up my car with gas, it’s just my wife and me tooling down the road with the wind in our hair — no oil-soaked birds or destroyed ecosystems. So I guess everything is cool.
