My opinion why a national response to the threats at school board meetings is best

This is my opinion and answer to those who think local authorities should be the only ones handling threats at school board meetings.

Who can guarantee the local authorities won't be on the side of those doing the threatening? Local authorities are not immune from right-wing brainwashing, and if they live in the community they serve there is a good chance they may be on the side of those who would threaten.

Just like in the days of segregation, a national response was necessary because leaving up to the locals didn't always work.

Again this is my opinion.

When local governments cannot reliably protect our basic freedoms, the Feds must step in.

In some place, a white would NEVER be convicted of killing a Black. No Black could ever hope to get a fair trial if accused of a crime. This is why the Feds intervened.

Same thin with local school boards - you can't depend on local law enforcement to do the right thing
