I'm having a crazy thought here on the Senate vote
If Manchin AND Sinema were the FIRST two to vote yes, would that draw a couple of RETHUGLICONS vote? They would KNOW it will pass for sure. Just thinking out loud here.

1. Doubtful any repubs will vote "Aye" on this, regardless of what our DINOs do...
Less than doubtful. Repubs would rather see the republic fail than Biden succeed.

3. Unlikely. Republicans already know the bill can pass without them.
Remember the ACA - Republicans has a lot of input in the final bill but in the end not a single Republican voted for it.

6. Now that's wishful thinking
Keep the optimistic view Bluestarone… it’s never bad to be optimistic.
Sadly, the realistic view is that the GOP is a lost cause and Senator “I’m really a Republican”Manchin and Senator “Look at me” Cinema have not only singlehandedly destroyed what could have been the most important advances to help this nation since the New Deal making it a skeleton of what it could and should be, but they may even still vote No. It’s a very depressing and disgusting state of affairs our country finds itself and I don’t know how this is going to end but I am not as optimistic as you. |
