Here is a non-exhaustive list of Mitchells retrograde view to keep in mind when reading coverage of the Supreme Court arguments.
Mitchell Hates Birth Control and Non-procreative Sex
In a March 2020 class action lawsuit challenging the Obamacare birth control coverage requirement, Mitchell said birth control isnt preventive care because its not needed to prevent pregnancy when women can just close their legs instead:
Contraception and sterilization are simply devices that enable women who do not wish to become pregnantbut who are unwilling to refrain from sexual intercourseto engage in sexual intercourse while greatly reducing their risk of pregnancy.
If the Court does as he wishes and overturns Roe, he reiterated his view that women who dont want children can simply stop boning: Women can control their reproductive lives without access to abortion; they can do so by refraining from sexual intercourse. Please note the total erasure of the impregnating parties from this picture.
Mitchell Hates LGBTQ rights
Not a fan! In his brief in the Mississippi case, he claimed that sex with a same-sex partner (Lawrence v. Texas, 2003) and marriage equality (Obergefell v. Hodges, 2015) are court-invented rights that are just as lawless as Roe and invited the court to overturn them alongside Roe. He has referred to LGBTQ people as engaging in homosexual behavior and homosexual conduct and during a 2018 Federalist Society forum, he called transgender people transgendered, a term that GLAAD says artificially separates trans from lesbian, gay, bisexual, and queer. They note that you wouldnt call Elton John gayed. Also in 2018, he represented a group seeking exemptions to anti-discrimination rules so they could refuse to hire LGBTQ people it if counters their religious beliefs.

(19,148 posts)that it takes two people to "procreate", doesn't he?
I'm not sure where and when Mr. Mitchell grew up, but when I was a young man I was almost singularly obsessed with pursuing young ladies with whom I could "practice" this act of procreation.
Now I find that it was all the young lady's responsibility whether those "practice sessions" took place at all. I had absolutely no say in the matter whatsoever!
So it was all those wiley women who led my poor Momma's son astray! If I'd only known then what I know now.
Thank you Mr. Mitchell, for bringing this to my attention, you complete moron! It takes two to "tango", shit for brains. And I remember doing just about anything I could to convince those young ladies I was the young man they should "tango" with!
What a complete and utter dipshit. This guy's asshole is so tight you couldn't get a sewing needle up there.

But it sounds like religion has really screwed up this guy's normal sexual life. I know several people who were unable to have "normal" sex lives either with same sex or different sex partners because their religions made them sooooooo afraid of it. M
It's sad to see how these Evangelicals have messed up their children's sex lives so badly the kids can't even have the abusive sex lives they prescribe for them. They think they are making sure their kids stay virgins until marriage. But what is really happening is that their kids can't have sex even after marriage....and most of them don't even get close to marriage because average people don't want to have anything to do with them. The 40 year old virgin is not just a story. But he is one messed up guy.
This guy looks like a baby. His round face and hairless chin gives him such a baby look. But he has served as a law clerk for Scalia so he can't be all that young. He's 45 and looks 15.
He was unemployed at the time he wrote up that forced abortion law for Texas.
What a weird little man. Matches most of the weirdos on the Supreme Court.
