FB Community Standards??!!

A RWNJ “friend” just posted a pic of Joe and Kamala, with a pic of the Lincoln convertible - same model that JFK was assassinated in - with the caption “Those two would look good in here.” Not only did I un-friend him but I reported the meme to FB, whose response was “the photo does not violate our Community Standards.”
Advocating that the President and VP should be assassinated does not “violate their standards”?? What does, then? I’ve been thrown in “jail” for WAY less. Truly WTF.

has no idea who jfk was and what occured. Of course that's assuming a human looked at it. It could have been an algorithm.

I more than once, with a smile on my face, imagined Trump choking with a hamburder lodged in his throat.

But I have never once reposted any memes endorsing that he be assassinated. That's going too far.

I’ll admit I was kinda happy when the news broke that TFG had Covid. But this is absolutely beyond the pale.

I did think, "Let this be the most severe case of Covid in the short history of Covid."

But that's not the way it worked out, of course.

That would have made him a martyr. I was hoping he’d get really, really sick. Ventilator sick. Enough to take the “hoax” disease seriously. Of course he got state-of-the-art treatment and walked away.

someone reported their photo of Keto Peanut Butter bars and the photo and post was taken down for violating community standards.

The words white supremacy will get you tossed in Facebook Jail.

people I know who put up left leaning things get booted or FB jail.

Meanwhile, the right wingers don't tend to get booted or time-out.

There is definitely a point of view by the people who run the platform.

They likely just saw the Lincoln, read the text and was like "What's so bad about saying the President and VP would look good in a classic car? Wonder why someone would report this."

My advice is to appeal, and then explain to them the threat and connection.
