Apparently the QANON morons are gathering in downtown Dallas because JFK, Jr. will be making a big announcement tomorrow at Dealy Plaza, right by the grassy knoll.

(11,869 posts)As each "Trump Returns to Office," date keeps moving. QNonsense keeps these Joners dashing from here to there to bash fictional Dems-Antifa-Hillary outrages...making death threats, dying unvaccinated, losing their jobs, wasting time and money, losing family and friends on the way. How long before they have lost motivation, have no money, or come to their senses and see that they are pawns. Will we survive long enough to find the answer?

(11,142 posts)The lunatics do not need 'soldiers', they have plenty of those... they need cash! And, if one doesn't have cash, then why would they bother with them? The grift from all of this is hysterical, and the fact that these people would not offer a worn nickel to a homeless person, but they will give up their life savings to a wealthy con artist and/or his lackeys.

That is always affiliated with his dads, (President Kennedy-RIP) assassination.
I just read it is considered the birthplace of Dallas, but still.
This is what is wrong with this Q-nuts.
They start mixing facts and history from disparate events to come up with their own toxic little theories. And then its off to the races!!!

The Durov brothers founded VK (biggest social media network in Russia) in 2006. Putin's allies seized it in 2012/13, and Pavel Durov fled Russia. Telegram is a UK/US registered firm. It is closing in on 700 million global users.
Telegram has HARDCORE underground neo Nazi global networks on it. Far beyond most of these 'Porkchops on Parade' militia cosplaying Meal Team 6 Rumpykin stooges (who are a threat too, but vastly less potentially lethal per individual member). Think Timothy McVeigh (168 killed, 680 injured, many permanently) and/or Anders Behring Breivik level (77 killed, 319 injured in multiple Oslo locations, many permanently, in just a few hours) potential carnage per active cell member.

(54,409 posts)Parler and Gab, which are mostly RW POS.
Gab has even more extreme neo Nazi groups than Telegram, although at some point they all blend together on a continuous spectrum of awfulness and clear and present dangers.
Parler was/is more oriented towards QMAGAt slack-jawed American yokels, thugs, and dupes, plus the vermin who rake in massive profits from them.

(5,340 posts)It's just an encrypted chat service, like WhatsApp or Signal; I've used it to buy MJ, for example. It's gotten so popular with the rabid right because it has a "channel" feature, which is essentially a one-way group chat with unlimited members; users can follow e.g. Roger Stone's channel and receive what amounts to text messages from him, but can't reply.
The insidious aspect of all this is that since it's a messaging service not social media, where there's no persistent, visible postings - there's absolutely zero oversight or moderation, none whatsoever. A channel admin can say literally whatever they wish to their followers and nobody can block, edit, delete or even fact-check it; in addition since it's encrypted, nobody who's not part of a channel can see what's being said. Some channels take all comers, but some, presumably the truly dangerous groups, vet potential subscribers to ensure secrecy.
Imagine Carlson's show, but with zero corporate or.govwrnment regulation, and the only knowledge the world has of it is what the viewers choose to publicly reveal.

(22,590 posts)1999, to be exact. The bodies were eventually recovered, but that doesn't faze the conspiracy theorists. I guess they just assume that some random body was falsely identified as JFK Jr. to cover up the fact that he was still alive. Or something?
Conspiracy theorists have believed more outlandish things than that, so it's probably not that much of a stretch for them!

(34,914 posts)he is also multiple inches shorter than was JFK, Jr. Just the notion that he would have wanted anything to do with Trump is absurd in itself, but to think that this guy is him is completely whacko, let alone that he's still alive. Of course, they all think Trump is some sort of muscular, brilliant superman, and not the morbidly obese, syphilis-addled, con man freakshow that he is.

(255,530 posts)I cringe to imagine. And especially my grandmother's significant other, the closest thing I ever had for a grandfather. He was such a wonderful man, and very political - he was forced to retire in 1962 (at age 65!) as head of the YMCA based in Geneva, so he moved to North Carolina to head up the YMCA conference center there and worked for civil rights in the '60s. I met him in the late '80s and Bill Clinton was his candidate in 1992. I keep thinking that he'd be heartbroken if he saw what was happening now.
